This elopement styled shoot was born out of a collaboration of local artists in the Hudson Valley, NY which has a burgeoning wedding scene emerging the last couple of years. The bride and groom arrived at Kaaterskill Falls and began getting ready (hair and makeup by Ash) in the AirStream, owned and operated by Rose&Dale Photo Co. After some sips of local whiskey provided by Albany Distilling Co., they made their way out to a grove of pine trees to meet their officiant, who stood among the pines adorned with flowers by Anthea Fields, macrame by Ohayo Made, rugs by Upstate Rugs and furniture by North Country Vintage.
The beautiful ceremony took place on an early spring morning and the couple exchanged vows then headed down to the top of the falls for portraits. What was great about this styled elopement was that the couple was real- together for nine years now and engaged to be wed on a future date. For early spring, we loved seeing some of the first color of the year here in NY and the rays of sunshine pouring through the forest provided the feeling of love and birth of a new season.
